Julie + Chad | Longue Vue Club Wedding

Ever since their engagement session, I couldn't contain my excitement for Julie and Chad's wedding day at the Longue Vue Club. Julie is like my shoe spirit animal! At her engagement session, she wore these amazing green studded heels, a vibrant pink dress and included their pup, Cannoli! Loooovee! These two are high school sweethearts just like me and Chris! Chad proposed to Julie by preparing scavenger hunt around their house on Christmas morning. How sweet is that! As if Christmas isn't fun enough, he popped the question and she said 'Yes!'.

The ladies prepared for the day at Julie's parents house with her bridesmaids and family members. I knew her wedding shoes were going to be beyond phenomenal. I think I died and went to shoe heaven when I saw them. I felt more chic and fabulous just photographing them. We headed to Blessed Sacrament for the ceremony on a gorgeous September day in Pittsburgh. Afterwards, we made our way to the beautiful Longue Vue Club for the reception. If I could describe the day in one word it would be 'glamourous'. The venue, the shoes, the bridesmaids dresses, and the men in black tie. When it all came together it made me want to do a praise hands emoji. Enjoy a peek into their celebration!

Carly + Matt | Children's Museum of Pittsburgh Wedding

I could not have planned a more perfect June day for Carly + Matt's Children's Museum wedding in Pittsburgh, PA.

Carly got ready at one of my favorite Pittsburgh hotels, the Renaissance Hotel! They have beautiful and bright suites with a view of the city of bridges. She was so calm and absolutely stunning in her dress. The rings in her detail shots are actually her parents! I though that was such a unique, personal touch. And each member of her bridal party got a humorus handkerchief to dab their tears, so cute!

We made our way to the ceremony, then headed to the University of Pittsburgh for portraits. It was the same campus where they met so it truly had a special meaning to them.  They were so happy to be married and their smiles were contagious! They were too adorable for words.

Once we arrived at the venue, we had time for a few more portraits around the museum which was so fun!  After the cocktail hour ended the guests settled in for toasts to the bride and groom. I was even getting emotional because you could feel the love everyone felt towards Carly + Matt. They are two of the most genuine, sweet and caring people I have had the honor to photograph.  Take a look at Carly + Matt’s day!

Jamie + Marcus | The Club at Nevillewood Wedding

My first wedding of the year sure was a pretty one! Jamie and Marcus were married at St John and Paul Parish and celebrated their reception at The Club at Nevillewood. It was a beautiful, sunny May day in Pittsburgh and the whole day was perfect from beginning to end.

Jamie and Marcus met at Penn State (WE ARE!) but that wasn't the start of thier story. It took 9 months for them to reconnect after college before their story really began. Here's what they had to say about how they met...

September 2009 (Jamie's Perspective): It was our junior year in college, and I was going to a typical party at Penn State. A mutual friend introduced me to a few people, including Marcus. (Now let me tell you, from the beginning, I was immediately drawn to Marcus. I guess you could call it love at first sight?! He was so cute, tan, athletic, and who couldn't love that smile!) Unfortunately, Marcus was not a Penn State student but from Grove City College, over 2 hours away, and was dating someone at the time. He was clearly not interested and my dreams were crushed, or so I thought....

Fast forward to June 2010 (Marcus's Perspective): It was a typical day at the research lab I worked in at UPMC. I had been working there every summer and each day wasn't terribly different from the last... until one unforgettable day in June 2010. My friends and I were going back to the lab, when a girl steps onto the elevator in front of me. Naturally, I'm thinking "Hmm she's pretty cute!" As we're getting off (on the same floor, mind you) she stopped and asked if we had met before. At first, I had no idea who she was, but quickly remembered back to that party 9 months earlier. From that moment forward, I was hooked and the rest was history.

Marcus proposed with the help of Jamie's family at their annual Christmas Eve party (get a look at her beautiful ring!). And the wedding was just the beginning of their lives together. Congratulations to Jamie + Marcus!
