Erica + Josh | Pine Community Center Wedding

Erica and Josh were married in Pittsburgh's North Hills area at Pine Community Center. I was looking forward to this wedding all year. They have such a fun spirit. When I first met with them we played a little '20 Questions' to get to know each other and bonded over one of my favorite games, Zelda. Little did I know that the theme music would be come part of their ceremony. It's so refreshing when couples tailor the day to themselves.

The day could not have been more perfect. Blue skies. Puffy clouds. Happy Bride. Awesome vows. Here is a peek at Erica and Josh's day!

Friday Pinspiration | Our DIY Den

Happy Fri-yay! Over here at the Bonadio house, we are wrapping up our summer DIY home 'refreshes'. We have now completed our kitchen, my office, and the den/book room. This space was intended to be a bit more masculine since my office is pretty feminine.

Chris refinished the floors in the den while he was refinishing the office floors. Each room got new trim and was looking fresh! After we finished the office, Chris started custom building wall shelving. We (and by we, I mean Chris) bought brackets, spray painted them dark, then stained and sealed the wood shelves.

The last little project for this room was the hairpin leg stool. It might be my favorite piece in the whole room. It turned out SO SO good. The view you see of this room when you walk up the stairs is the best. The art was a vintage find for $5 and the lights and stool just compliment it perfectly! My father in law gave us the wood slab so all we had to get were the legs. We found them here on Etsy. All in all the stool cost us maybe $50 to make.

The last part was accessories! My favorite! Take a look at our DIY Den!

Christiana + Bob | Westmoreland Museum of American Art Wedding

This classic Westmoreland Museum of American Art wedding for Christiana and Bob was perfectly unique to them. Their wedding day was laced with even more joy because Bob had been hospitalized right before the wedding. An unexpected trial that they overcame together. Chrissie was by his side while he recovered and was most looking forward to finally being pronounced husband and wife. There was not a dry eye in the church during her walk down the aisle. Everyone was ready to celebrate the newlyweds and Bob's health!

Chrissie and I met while working together. We went for coffee to talk about her wedding plans and she was so excited when she described her venue to me. The Westmoreland Museum of American Art was recently renovated and they added a beautiful, bright reception space for weddings inside of the cantilever. I couldn't have picked a more perfect venue for them.

There were so many sweet moments during their day! At the reception, Bob pulled out the wrapped silverware he saved from Chrissie's graduation party to share their first bite of cake. There was a cousin flash mob (which is the coolest thing I have ever see family do)! And even down to the handmade cookies with #coppersrus because the met while working at Toys R Us.

Congratulations Chrissie + Bob!
